MSL is a co-founder of Thailand’s Open Source Network (OSSN). Organized by NECTEC, the OSSN had its official launch in July this year. The chief guest of this event was the Minister Science. Apichai Sakulsureeyadej, MSL’s Director, also spoke at a panel during this event. Apichai emphasized that licensed software can be used together with Open Source software in order to optimize an organization’s IT goals and budgets. Apichai also emphasized that many proprietary software producers were moving towards an Open Standards eco-system.
